As a PaR project, this piece looks at dance and interactive sound relationships. The research considered issues involving embodiment in electronic music, data mapping and sonification of human gesture, and uncovering expressive relationships in dance and sound.

'I am where I am not', interrogates the relationship between the perceiver and the perceived, subject/object, the visible and the invisible experienced as a dancer and the perception of these relationships in performance. We all have some 'tierra yerma' (wasteland) inside us. Drawing from Lorca's play, this piece explores and imagines Yerma's mind in her journey from desire and hope towards 'barrenness', incompletion and deceit.
